Aquadip Cryptocoryne Flamingo In-Vitro
- Extraordinary pink tones
- Slow growth
- Striking accent in the foreground to midground
This unusual and attractive cultivar is called 'Flamingo'. Its most eye-catching feature is the light to dark-pink tones of the leaves. This variety came about by quirk of nature in one of our greenhouses. 'Flamingo' is cultivated only through meristem propagation in the lab, and is sold in a plastic culture dish. It grows very slowly in aquariums and must have good lighting to ensure successful rooting and growth. A wonderfully decorative addition combined with mosses or Hemianthus in small aquariums.
These will take quite a while to develop their striking pink colour under ideal circumstances. These often start out as green-ish brown.
In-Vitro plants are cultivated under sterile conditions. This ensures that there are no pest infestations or pathogens present. Additionally, there are no algae, snails, or snail eggs. These are very compact, highly branched plants. The submerged habit eliminates the changeover phase from emersed to submerged in the aquarium.
